Defining gravel cycling is not straightforward. Some people take the view that it must be considered a sport discipline somewhere between road cycling and mountain biking. We believe it is much more than that.
Gravel cycling is a type of movement that enables us to explore the most beautiful nature on a bike regardless of the terrain, to break free from daily grind, to forget prescribed rules and to push physical boundaries. All it requires is an adventurous mindset to explore, to step into the unknown and experience that a day on a gravel bike makes you feel every possible emotion. From pure joy and inspiration to moments where it is not all smiles and easy anymore. We therefore believe gravel cycling is more a lifestyle than just a sport discipline.
Against that background Scandinavian Gravel has been founded from a free spirit of independence, community and for the love of Scandinavia. With the aim to connect similar minds and share the gravel cycling magic.

We run curated multiple day gravel cycling journeys. These go deep into nature and cover varied terrains including demanding and pristine gravel roads. We seek to truly explore off the beaten tracks that lead us to high end accommodations as we go. Because after a day of gravel grinding we deserve a place where we can enjoy the Scandinavian less is more design, high quality freshly prepared meals, good company and a comfortable bed. Our journeys either involve one accommodation that we use as a base and from where we explore the region or we cycle from one accommodation to the next.
Our journeys are tailored for all levels. From well-trained and experienced gravel riders to starters. As long as you are in for a physical challenge and seek unique experiences whilst connecting with fellow riders. You can choose to bring your own gravel bike or request us to provide a top notch rental bike.
